Gail Hudson, a member of the graduating Class of 1979, was a standout three-season athlete playing Field Hockey, Basketball, and Softball for the Rye Neck Panthers. During her time with the Panthers, Hudson was named an All-American in 1978 and an All-County player in 1977 and 1978 for Field Hockey. She was also a member of the National Sports Festival Field Hockey Team. This star athlete even received the ConEd Award during her time as a Panther.

On the court, Hudson excelled in Basketball as well. She was named an All-County player during the 1977 and 1978 seasons. After graduating from Rye Neck High School, Hudson continued her academic career at Ohio University where she played Field Hockey, Basketball, and Lacrosse. Hudson would later be inducted into the Ohio University Hall of Fame for her contributions to the Field Hockey, Basketball, and Lacrosse programs. Later in life, Hudson achieved an incredible feat in her athletic career becoming an Olympic Finalist at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics.
