1987 Cross Country | Track Athlete

Elizabeth Brendan, a Class of 1987 graduate, is a Rye Neck Cross Country and Track great, setting multiple school records during her career, one which still stands to this day. For Cross Country, Brendan still holds the record for fastest time in the 5,000 Meter Run with a time of 17:38.40. For Indoor Track, she still holds the record for the 3,000 Meter Run with a finishing time of 10:03.85. Brendan also holds the record for the 3,000 Meter Run in Outdoor Track as well with a time of 09:59.8. 

For Cross Country, Brendan was named All-American in 1986, three-time All-State, four-time All-County, and a ConEd Award recipient. She was invited to and ran in the Kinney Nationals during the 1986 season and was a Class C State Champion in 1986 as well. For Track, Brendan was named All-League and All-County on two separate occasions respectively.
