In his 27th year at Rye Neck, Coach Joe Carlucci has impacted the lives of thousands of student-athletes.  A physical education teacher by trade, Coach Carlucci’s presence on the courts and fields of Rye Neck has left an enduring legacy. 

Coach Carlucci’s coaching career has spanned the depths of the Rye Neck athletic experience from modified to varsity teams, from track, to boys and girls basketball, and most importantly, with baseball.

Coach spent 19 years in the baseball program at Rye Neck, 17 of those as Varsity Head Coach. His tenure in the program has been one of the most successful Rye Neck has witnessed.

A master of the game, Coach Carlucci’s guidance led his team to 3 league titles, 6 section finals appearance, including 4 straight in the early 2000’s, and 3 section championships, including two back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022. His career win total as head coach is 198. As a 5 time League Coach of the Year and 3 time Conference Coach of the Year, Coach is a well-respected leader in Section I.  

Most importantly, Coach Carlucci has had a positive effect on a generation of athletes, sending quite a few athletes off to college on scholarships, and then into the coaching ranks where they too have become impactful to the next generation of athletes.

Currently, Coach has broadened his athletic role as the Assistant Athletic Director where he is able to further support Rye Neck’s student-athletes for years to come.
