During her time at Rye Neck, Smith was a four year varsity team starter, selected as a High School Field Hockey All-American in 1989, four-time All-League player, and four-time All-Section player. Smith was awarded the prestigious ConEd Award during her senior year Field Hockey season. In addition to her already impressive senior year, Smith was also awarded the Old Timer’s Award at her senior year sports award ceremony dinner in 1990. She has remained a member of the Old Timer’s Association for the past 25 years.
During the offseason, Smith spent her time perfecting her craft with the Hudson Valley Empire State Field Hockey Team, which she was a three-time member of. In addition to her already impressive Field Hockey resume, Smith was a member of the Junior Olympic Field Hockey Team in 1989. After graduating from Rye Neck, Smith brought her many talents to Boston University, where she was a member of their Division I Field Hockey program from 1990-1994.
After Boston University, Smith had a brief career in editing and publishing before returning to school and graduating from Parson’s School of Design in 1998. She currently works as a graphic designer and full time mom. She now resides in Manhasset, NY with her family: her husband, Jon; her son, Dominic; and daughter, Grace.
