Julie Worley Sult was one of the most decorated multi-sport athletes in Hoover history, earning 12 varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, and track.
In basketball, she was a two-time District 4 First Team selection (2013, 2014) and the District 4 Player of the Year in 2014. She also earned multiple All-Northeast Ohio Inland, All-Federal League, and All-Stark County honors throughout her career, while being named Honorable Mention All-Ohio in 2013. She scored more than 1,000 career points and set school records for most points in a single game (43) and most free throws in a single game (19). She helped lead Hoover to four straight District Championship appearances (2011–2014), winning back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014, and ultimately reaching the State Championship game as the runner-up in 2014.
In volleyball, Worley was named All-District 4 Co-Player of the Year (2013), All-Federal League Player of the Year (2013), and earned multiple first-team honors at the league, county, and district levels. She also competed in both the OHSVCA State All-Star Game and the District IV All-Star Game.
As a track and field athlete, she excelled in the high jump, qualifying for the State Meet in 2011 and 2013, finishing 3rd in Ohio in 2013. She was also a multi-year District and Regional qualifier in the high jump, long jump, 200-meter dash, and 4x200-meter relay.

Following her standout high school career, Worley continued her basketball journey at Ashland University (2014–2018), where she scored over 1,000 career points and helped the Eagles capture the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship with an undefeated 37–0 season. She was also part of the 2018 National Runner-Up team and contributed to Ashland’s historic 73-game win streak, the longest in Division II women’s basketball history. Team accomplishments included two Regional Championships (2017, 2018), three GLIAC Regular Season Championships (2016–2018), and three GLIAC Tournament titles (2016–2018). Individually, she was honored with the NCAA Elite 90 Award in 2018.

Worley went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ashland University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University (2021). She has worked as both a travel physical therapist, exploring the country and its national parks, and now as a practicing physical therapist based in Columbus, Ohio.

She has been happily married to her husband, Chase Sult, for over three years, and they are joyfully awaiting the arrival of their first child. Julie credits her family for their unwavering support throughout her athletic and academic career, saying she would not be where she is today without them.
