2017 1999 Softball

Ms. Miller is a 1999 graduate of Hoover High School where she led the Vikings to two State Championships as a dominant pitcher. Chain (maiden name) set numerous school and state records during her time as a Viking. She currently holds Hoover Softball records for strikeouts in a season, shutouts in a season and lowest season ERA. Chain’s 25 shutouts in one season is also a State softball record. Along with various league awards, Chain was twice named the Gatorade Ohio Player of the Year. Chain went on to continue her stellar career at The Ohio State University where she was once again dominant. Chain left Ohio State holding 7 different pitching records including the records for strikeouts and shutout and she still holds the record for most consecutive wins (15). Chain went on to graduate from Ohio State with a degree in Special Education.
