Paul is a 1960 graduate of Hoover High School.  As a Hoover athlete, he earned eleven varsity letters: four in Football, four in Basketball, and three in Baseball.  He was selected as a team captain in both Football and Basketball his senior year.  His sports awards included the Sideliners Outstanding Offensive Back award in 1959.  He received the All-County Honorable Mention selection in both Football and Basketball.  As a student, he was president of Student Council, a boys State Delegate, and a member of the National Honor Society.  After graduating from Hoover, he attended Kent State University and graduated cum laude in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Chemistry.  Professionally, he worked as a Quality Engineer for The Hoover Company.  He was also an administrative assistant for Manufacturing Operations and a Direct of Human Resources for Westinghouse Electric Corporation’s Combustion Control Division.  He retired in 2000 from Emerson Electric Co. as Vice President of Human Resources for Emerson’s Rosemount Analytical Division.
