2018 Football Coach

Coach Ed Glass came to North Canton City Schools in 1981 where he completed the final 15 years of his career. As a football coach at Hoover, Coach Glass posted an overall record of 107-54 and 75-30 in the Federal League. Six of Glass’s teams were Federal League champions as well as state playoff qualifiers. While under his command, the 1984 Hoover Vikings advanced to the Division I state championship before falling to Toledo St. Francis de Sales. Glass would then lead his 1986 team to the OHSAA final four in Division II. Throughout his playing and coaching career, Coach Glass’s accomplishments were recognized by inductions in the following hall of fames: Mount Union M-Club (1997), Alliance HS Athletic Hall of Fame (1999), Ohio HS Football Coaches Hall of Fame (2005), NorthCanton Hoover HS Hall of Distinction (2011), and Warren Sports Hall of Fame (2014).
