Composed of volunteer community members, the Hoover Sideliners have played a significant role in the lives of Hoover students for the past 60 years. Established in 1958 and in continuous service ever since, the Sideliners' purpose “to serve the kids” has been the organization’s guiding light for generations. This volunteer organization has been primarily funded by donations from North Canton residents and businesses. Over the past 60 years this organization has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to support academics, arts and athletics at North Canton Hoover High School as well as volunteering countless hours. This honor recognizes all of those who have volunteered and donated their time and money to "serve the kids" of North Canton Hoover High School through the Sideliners.
