Pitching ace and basketball player Holly Goodpasture Collins graduated from Hoover in 1992 with an 89-14 career pitching record. She was named 1st Team All-Federal League all four years, 1st Team All-District for three years, 2nd Team All-Ohio her junior and senior years. The Beacon Journal named her the Player of the Year both her junior and senior years.

She led her team to 4 Federal League Championships from 1989-1992. Holly still holds Hoover pitching records and is also ranked in several all-time pitching records in the state of Ohio.

Holly continued her career at Kent State University where she was a 4-year letter winner. She has been a Lake Local School teacher for 19 years.
