Craig Huffman was a versatile three-sport athlete at Hoover High School, earning a remarkable 10 varsity letters—two while attending Perrysburg High School and eight after transferring to North Canton. At Hoover, he lettered in soccer (4), baseball (3), and basketball (3). His achievements included First Team All-Greater Akron in soccer, First Team All-Federal League in baseball, and recognition as both Federal League Player of the Year and District Player of the Year in basketball. As a senior, Huffman helped lead Hoover basketball to a State Final Four appearance.
Huffman continued his academic and athletic career at John Carroll University, where he played basketball and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Biology/Pre-Dentistry. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from The Ohio State University in 1993. On the court, Huffman became one of John Carroll’s all-time greats, finishing his career as the third all-time leading scorer in program history. In recognition of his accomplishments, he was inducted into the John Carroll University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.
For the past 31 years, Huffman has built a successful career as a dentist in Kent, Ohio. He currently resides in Aurora, Ohio, with his wife of 28 years, Tracy. Together they have three children: Logan (27), Cade (25), and Grant (24). He is the son of Dennis and Judy Huffman.
