2016 1987 Softball | Basketball

All-Star pitcher and basketball player Sharon Goodpasture O'Donnell helped establish Hoover as a dominating presence in Stark County softball in the 1980's. Sharon earned letters in basketball and 4 letters in softball. The 1987 graduate completed her softball career with a record of 76-17. Sharon was selected to the All-Federal League Team four times. In 1986 she earned 2nd Team All-Ohio honors, in 1987 she earned 1st Team All-Ohio honors and was also named the Stark County MVP. Sharon continued her softball career at the University of Akron. She has been a teacher for 24 years in Canton City Schools.
