George Hamilton is a 1949 NOCA High graduate. He was an outstanding two sport all-star athlete. George was a 2-year letterman in basketball and a 3-year letterman in baseball. He led the team in back to back Regional Championships in 1948 and 1949. In 1949 he was selected the MVP of the Metropolitan League and the MVP of the Kent Regional games. George also earned 3rd team All-Ohio honors and was selected for the 2nd team All-State Tournament. In 1949 he was ranked 2nd on the career scoring list for NOCA High.

George continued his basketball career at Kent State University where he was a letterman and was selected as the captain for the 1953-53 season. After graduating from Kent State in 1954, George began a 36-year career at the Hoover Company retiring in 1993.
