Jamie Rubis was a three-sport star athlete in volleyball, basketball and softball at North Canton Hoover High School from 1995 to 1998. She was the first female athlete to receive 12 varsity letters. In volleyball, Jamie was a two-time captain and member of the All-Federal League, All-County and All-District teams as a sophomore, junior, and senior. She made a name for herself on the basketball court as a three-time captain and member of the All-Federal League and All-County teams for four years. She was also selected for the All-District and All-Ohio teams as a sophomore, junior, and senior. During her senior year, Jamie was first team Academic All-Ohio, Stark County Player of the Year, District Four Player of the Year, Honorable Mention All-USA Today, and Honorable Mention for Street and Smith's All-American Team. She became Hoover High School's all-time girls' basketball leader with 1,449 points, 742 rebounds, and 165 blocked shots. As a member of the softball team, Jamie was a two-time captain and selected for the All-Federal League team during all four years. She capped off her career by winning the Division I Ohio High School State Championship in 1998 as the starting shortstop of the softball team. Jamie was inducted into the National Honor Society her senior year and graduated from North Canton Hoover High School in 1998.

Jamie received a full ride scholarship to continue her basketball career at Kent State University. She earned four letters and was a team captain in 2002 and 2003. She was also a member of two Mid-American Conference championship teams that participated in the NCAA College Women's Basketball tournament. Jamie scored 1,281 points in her career and is one of only ten players to score over 1,000 points and have over 500 rebounds. She graduated Cum Laude from Kent State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

After graduation, Jamie moved to Wisconsin and has worked for U.S. Bank in a variety of roles since April 2004. She is currently a Senior Product Manager of the Regulatory Management team for Product Strategy & Support. Jamie continues to be involved in athletics as an assistant coach for a middle school girls' basketball team. She now resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
