2018 1978 Swimming | Diving

Randy Chambers is a 1978 graduate of Hoover High School where he was a standout diver. Chambers grew up very active in swimming, but soon found his way to the springboard where he would win numerous awards throughout his high school and college career. After finishing 27th at the OHSAA meet in 1976, Chambers would go on to finish 10th in the state his junior year. Then during his senior campaign in 1978, Randy won the State Championship and was named All-Ohio and an All- American. Chambers would then go on to Florida State University on a diving scholarship where he was a four-year letterman and team captain in 1982. Randy’s success garnered him the 1981 Diver of the Year award at FSU. Following graduation from FSU, Chambers has continued staying active by competing in triathlons. Randy and his wife reside in Reno, Nevada, where he works as an Operations Director at Westbridge Insurance Network.
