Class of 2026

Mike Biondi is remembered as an exceptional two-sport athlete whose leadership and competitive excellence defined an era of “Little Red” athletics.

A three-year varsity football player (1974–1976) under Coach Joe Moresco, Mike earned All-STAC Second Team QB and First Team QB honors in 1976. That same year, he was named team MVP, passing and point leader, and honorary captain alongside Tom Schwan and Charlie Estey. His teams were highlighted by memorable victories over top-ranked Union-Endicott and Vestal, helping restore pride in the program.

In lacrosse, playing under Coach Mickey Fenzel, Mike was a two-time All-STAC midfielder (1976, 1977), 1977 team MVP, tri-captain, and top scoring midfielder, leading his teams to Section 4 championships each season.

At Ithaca College, Mike lettered four years in both football and lacrosse. In football, he was a two-year starting free safety, NCAA national champion (1979), national runner-up (1980), and ECAC player of the week, later being inducted into the 2014 Ithaca College Hall of Fame as a member of the national championship team. In lacrosse, he was a two-time All-American, 1981 co-captain, NCAA semifinalist, and ranked among the top scorers of his era.

Mike returned to Ithaca in 2010 with his wife Laura, where he proudly watched his children compete at his alma mater and now enjoys time with family, grandchildren, and friends.
