Paul Lang

Paul "Buddy" Lang was a 3-sport star in high school and college. At IHS, he was captain, most valuable player, and all-conference in football, was a sectional champion and state place winner in wrestling and was a baseball pitcher with a 14-2 record on teams that won 3 divisional championships.

After graduating in 1966, he attended the University of Buffalo, where he was captain and most valuable lineman on the football team, was a 3-time runner-up in the 4-I wrestling tournament, was a baseball pitcher with a 2.30 earned run average, and winner of the scholar-athlete of the year award. He signed pro contracts in football and baseball.

He later became a teacher at Dryden High school and held numerous coaching positions over more than 30 years in football, wrestling, basketball, baseball, and softball. He is a member of the Section IV and University of Buffalo Halls of Fame.
