Richard LaFrance
Richard LaFrance graduated from Ithaca High in 1938. He lettered in football, basketball, and track, and was senior class president as well. His 880 yard relay team set a record of 1:31, which stood for 27 years. After graduation Dick became captain of the Tennessee Wesleyan football team and, despite being blinded in World War II, became a highly respected athletic trainer at Cornell. He is a member of the Tennessee Wesleyan, Cornell and Section IV Halls of Fame.
