Charles Solomon played football, basketball, and baseball for IHS, earning 10 varsity letters. He was captain of the undefeated 1931 football team, excelled at defense in basketball, and hit .515 as a centerfielder for the baseball team. Later he remained active in bowling, softball and in developing and coaching our local Small Fry Football program. He remained an enthusiastic booster of IHS and Cornell sports for many years. Charlie was inducted into the New York Section IV Hall of Fame in 1980.
