Tyrone excelled in track and field, basketball, and football before graduating from IHS in 1999. In track and field, he was the Section IV Champion in long jump, high jump, the 400 and 4x4 relay. He was part of the undefeated track teams in '98 and '99. He also scored in every track meet he participated in since he was a sophomore.

He was a 2-year captain on the basketball team and voted MVP his senior year. He was selected all-county his senior year and in one game scored 32 points in 3 quarters!

Tyrone played three seasons of football and led the team in rushing and touchdowns. He was one of the few to still play both ways and was selected as All-Section IV.

He continued on with track and football while attending Colgate University. He held many records in track and went on after college to play minor league football.
