Ray VanOrman played on 3 undefeated including the 1902 team, which was completely unscored upon. He was captain of the 1903 team, and upon graduation attended Cornell, where he was an all-American at end in 1908. In 1920, he became the head football coach and athletic director at Johns Hopkins University. In 1926, he became the head lacrosse coach, building nationally prominent teams and 26 first-team all-American players. He was head coach of the Olympic lacrosse team, winning Olympic championships in 1928 and 1932. He returned to Cornell, and In 1940 became the head football coach and later an assistant lacrosse coach. He is a member of the Cornell and National Lacrosse halls of fame.
