Stuart Dean

Stuart Dean was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and lacrosse. He started for the football team for 3 years, each team being undefeated STAC champions. Stu was an all-STAC selection in his junior and senior years, and was all-State as a senior.

In basketball, Stu was a member of the 1972 Section IV championship team, and in lacrosse he was a 4-time letter winner and an all-STAC selection. He attended Syracuse University on a football scholarship, then transferred to Ithaca College where he played lacrosse and played football, including a football team that played in the Division III national championship game at the Alonzo Stagg Bowl.

For two decades, Stu has taught in the Lansing School District and has coached football, girls basketball, and baseball. He is currently head coach of the football team and the girls varsity basketball team. His teams have won many titles, including a girls basketball Class C championship in 2001.
