Coach Lew Billington was instrumental in initiating and maintaining the Girls Lacrosse program at Ithaca High School.

Lew organized and coached the first IHS Girls Lacrosse Club team in 1987, started the Varsity team and then supported the entire program for the next 23 years as the Junior Varsity Coach.

Lew always made sure that his players understood that they were students first and expected each to 'do their best' academically as well as athletically.

Beloved by all, Coach B's combination of passion and humor endeared him to players, parents and opponents. His teams embodied the true spirit of scholastic athletics.
