Henry Buncom played center on the 1949 and 1950 Ithaca High basketball teams, which won 37 straight games and consecutive Section IV titles. He was named to the all-conference team in his senior season. Henry then played at Cornell, and scored the winning final two points in the 1954 game that won the Ivy League Championship for Cornell. Henry is a member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Hall Of Fame.
