Dave Auble

Dave Auble was Section IV wrestling champion in 1954, 1955, and 1956. He was undefeated in each of those seasons, and in his senior year, was team captain and won the award for most outstanding wrestler at the national tournament.
At Cornell he lost just 1 bout in 4 years, winning 3 Eastern Intercollegiate and 2 Division I national championships. He was a gold medalist at the Pan American Games in 1959, and won the Olympic Trials in 1960. He won the National AAU championship in 1962, placed 4th at the 1964 Olympic Games. He was a Master's Division world wrestling champion in 1993.
He was an assistant wrestling coach at Ithaca College during the 1989, 1990, and 1994 Division III national championship seasons, and was head coach at UCLA and at Campbell University. Dave is a member of the Section IV and Cornell Halls of Fame.
