Inducted January 27, 2006

Beth Timmons was an outstanding swimmer for three seasons at IHS. She was a State champion in 3 events: the 200 individual medley, the 50 freestyle, and the 100 butterfly. She was twice named the NYS Swimmer of the Year ('94 & '95). By the time of her graduation, Beth held the school record in every individual event, and was a member of every school-record relay team. In her senior year, she was team MVP and a high school all-American.

Beth continued her winning ways at the University of Georgia. She was named all-American in 17 events, was team captain, and a member of the school's first NCAA Division I national championship team. In addition to swimming, Beth was a "walk-on" member of the Georgia women's basketball team, which was ranked 4th nationally in 2000. She graduated with a degree in math education and now teaches in Atlanta.
