Mel Robinson

Mel Robinson starred in football and track between '59 and '62, winning 4 letters in each sport. He set conference rushing records 3 years in a row, and was named to multiple post-season all-Star teams each year. Many still remember his game-winning field goal against league-leading Johnson City in 1960. In track he placed first 3 years in a row at the Elmira relays and placed 3rd at the States in the 100 and 220 yard dashes. He was captain of both the football and track teams in his senior year. Mel played semi-pro football for 13 seasons for Troy, Pennsylvania, winning 7 team championships and 8 rushing titles.
