Martin "Marv" Holt was a two-way starter for 3 years on the football team which won conference championships in his junior and senior years. He was captain and MVP in his senior season ('53), when the team was undefeated. He was the team's leading scorer and was named to post-season all-star teams by the Binghamton Press, Syracuse Herald-American, and the Southern Tier Conference Coaches.

In basketball, he earned 3 letters and was MVP in his senior year. He earned 2 letters in baseball and was co-captain in his senior year. He was president of the junior class, a member of the IHS boys Congress, and later attended Cornell and became a 35-year employee and manager for General Electric.
